What is a Library of Things?

A Library of Things, otherwise known as a “LOTs” supports the "sharing economy" and sustainability efforts. Patrons sharing items means less waste in landfills and more money in your pocket. We welcome patrons to borrow items from our household appliance and electronics library of things. Many typical household items and electronics are only needed once for a single DIY project. Rather than making an investment in a gadget you won’t need repeatedly, visit the Franklin Lakes Public Library of Things to access infrequently used items or to test a product before purchase. Contact us with any questions or to learn more about this and other amazing services your local library provides.
